GOSPEL MEANS “GOOD NEWS”

First let me say that I am not a theologian. I am simply stating things from a Christian lay persons point of view. Here goes...

Born again can also be called saved or converted but the terms mean the same thing depending on your denomination within the church. The proper term is "The Doctrine of the New Birth". You may also hear the media use the term "evangelical" interchangeably with "born again". Although they line up closely, the terms are not the same. Evangelical means those Christians who follow Christ's command to go into all the world and preach the gospel: Matt 28:18. Evangelicals have the heart of a missionary for the spiritual and physical needs of people.

Anyway, born again Christians are just folks who believe that Jesus is who He said He was (and is)! We are not perfect, we are just sinners like everybody else but...we are forgiven sinners simply because we repented and asked for forgiveness!

So now, we as believers and followers of Christ, have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord, because God forgave our sins when Christ took the penalty for our sin, suffering and dieing on the cross, freely giving us salvation. 
All we had to do was just believe that in our heart!

The overwhelming liberal media and lefty Hollywood "stars" (and I use that word "stars" loosely) would have you believe we are a vicious hate group closely associated with "right wing conspirators". They say followers of Christ are bent on destroying any group or individual freedoms and liberties of those who want to believe in nothing above themselves.

Our moral values are always most certainly opposed by the likes of the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) but defended by the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice).
Please, never confuse the two.

Sometimes we are just included in the American "moral majority", "silent majority", or loosely stated "Christian America" as a whole but we are much more than that.

Jesus (speaking to Nicodemus in the Bible) told us that we must be born again in order to enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven).

John 3:3 Jesus (speaking to Nicodemus) answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

John 3:5 (speaking again to Nicodemus) Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God".

Ok,Ok... What does that mean you may ask?
Well it means that salvation (saved and on the way to Heaven) comes from only one place.
Salvation comes from the grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ.
John 14:6, 1John 5: 11-12

Here’s the deal...When that nagging empty feeling you get from time to time finally gets on your last nerve and you really decide that the direction you are going in this life is the wrong way...Just ask God to help you understand that God's Son is Jesus Christ (the Messiah if you are Jewish) and that He died in your place so your sins could be forgiven and rose again and still lives today. Admit to and unload those old heavy sins on Jesus the Son of the Holy God of the Bible (who, by the way, loves you and will forgive you for the asking, no matter what you have done). Ask for His forgiveness, then turn from that old sinful way and follow the Lord Jesus Christ ( the Heaven bound way) and you too will be born again!
Not physically but Spiritually!
(There is a prayer for that)

All things will become new! Your eyes will open to spiritual things! When you read God's Word ( the Bible) the words will jump off the page for you and you will finally be able to understand what God is saying to you. You will began to see just how much He loves you.

Before you have a personal relationship with God and His Son Jesus, you cannot understand spiritual things. That is why the secular humanist society on the far left, does not get what is going on in the right heart of a true Christian. That is why they work so hard against us. They simply can't put their finger on matters of the heart in God's people. They are trying to fight a spritual battle against Christian soldiers but they can never ultimitally win.....Because it is God's fight...but not againsr flesh and blood!

God's children can't be fought successfully because in the end, no matter what the sacrifice, the Word of God says: We Win! Revelation 20:1-3
